Co-Gen Co-gen is the wave of the future and a step up from DG. Co-gen is the capturing of exhaust heat from the genrator or turbine used to produce steam, hot water or air conditioning. Efficiency is the measure of how much fuel is converted to electricity or other energy. Large electrical generators usually have an efficiency of only 31% meaning 69% of the fuel is wasted.
